This is my first try at cultivation and chose to use BRF and the tek from mushroomvideos.come. Overall it has a been a fun process but I definitely have had my own glitches and problems to deal with.
Starting from my first cake mix, which I made way to much of, 40 jars worth, that also didn't have enough BRF in the mix. Being an idiot and a wanna be scientist I filled the 10 jars I had and sterilized them. In the end I only used one of the junk jars for inoculation, with a Brazilian strain.
I made a second batch with the 9 other jars, this time in the correct ratio and amount. I inoculated these jars with a Colorado strain, both strains I got from spores101.
Tall 1/2 pint jar with mix, I used:
In the end the junk jar with the Brazilian and so far two of the Colorado jars fully colonized. Two jars grew mold, although the jury is out on one. There might not actually be mold it's hard to see at the very top of the jar and what I though was mold hasn't spread any where. Another jar is still colonizing and four did nothing .
Birthing
The three jars that have fully colonized quickly grew pins and so, on recommendation from a mod here (who also suggested I join, ty btw) I birthed the cakes and dunked but did not roll the cakes. There has been growth on all three, although it's been with mixed results. Even the cake with the most growth seems to have grown short shrooms as apposed to the long stems I've seen. There was also some good bruising you can see in the pictures which probably affected growth.
Fruiting Pics:
Comments, suggestions any thing would be sweet just kind looking at what to do next and what to do better.

Thank You
The bottom left is the Brazilian while the other two are a Colorado strain. Other than that I really have no idea .
I'm tempted to pick a couple of them but I keep waiting for some big growth, but, it's been a few days now of slow growth and yesterday a few caps opened, which has me a bit worried that they've finished growing but hopefully I'm just being a nub.

No... second picture, cake on the left is all to be harvested now. Right before the veil tears is the right time for eating them. A few hours later is the best time for printing. Those must be picked wether you want to eat them or print them. Soon they'll be dropping spores like crazy.
For some cool porn look here!

Oh sweet, today's my friend's birthday too and he has been craving shrooms for a while so I think it's going to be a fun night .
Love your pics, the more I see the more excited I get about getting the whole process started again. Thanks for all the help.
One last question if it's not to much, is it cool to eat that white fuzzy mycelium or should I just cut those parts off?
