Is casing worth it?

Do you guys think that taking the extra time/effort to case is worth it? Has anyone
ever done some sort of experiment where they cased one cake and didnt case another? How much more of a dry yeild did you end up with? I'm a newbie and I'm still trying to decide if I should risk it and go ahead and try to make a casing.

i've gotten 8 dry grams off a cake before while only getting 2 off a casing. its all experience, luck, whatever.....if this is your first grow, stick with the cakes, so you can watch and see how its done.

Another reason I wanted to case is because I didnt want to have to invest in a humidifier. Decisions, Decisions...

you dont have to. if you have a terrarium, or a large container and some perlite. perlite is awesome for humidity. allt the machines are just fancy expensive stuff you can buy. stay simple and you will be alright.
