What does Cannabis help you do better?

Hey guys. Today has been a cool, chilled day for me - getting blazed all day and writing music. Wrote a mint psytrance track.. actually did some things in the track I didn't think I could.

So... it really helps me write my psytrance a hell of a lot better..

I get musical ideas a lot quicker and become a lot more enthusiastic etc.

What does weed help you do better (generally better) than when sober?

I'm never sober so being high is just normal, I can work an keep a normal healthy  life style. An weed calms me down a lot.

Marijuana helps me do everything better.

Right now it's helping me type better, and to put the social, emotional, and cultural pressures that are thrown at me everyday through media and propaganda and from the faces of my brainwashed peers in better perspective, allowing me to simply laugh at all the ignorant lunatics running around everyday with their worldly worries.  It's also helping me turn that laughter into sympathy, as well as understanding, helping me move through my day without letting their short-comings effect my state of mind. 

In a little bit it will help me go into deeper stretches during my yoga session this morning before work, allowing for a very deep cleanse. :smile:

It helps me do everything better, and I am forever grateful to this wonderful herb and it's wisdom it flourishes us with each and every session.

It is the ultimate healer, and certainly a very magical herb.

Weed helps me do everyday things better in a way that I think alot of people could relate to. It's kind of like this; I tend to become very mindless while sober, everything is dull and normal. Easy to miss the target when it blends in with the wall, you know?
When I smoke weed, things come to life, everything is just exciting enough for me to pay MORE attention and not be the zombie I am while sober.
Anyone else feel the same way?

I kinda feel the same, everything is much more exciting than the dull bleak everyday life

2. sleep is better
3. waking up is better
4. writing is actually fun
5. skating and biking are more fun
6. drawing is more fun
7. talking to girls is 100x easier

This can't be overstated.  The world can be crashing around me, but if I just sit down and smoke a J or a blunt, all the problems just melt away.  It's a great substance for relieving frustration, which is much more serious than many people make it out to be.  Frustration leads to anger which builds into rage, and rage is an incredibly terrifying human emotion.

When I rock climb stoned (don't worry I do what is called bouldering in a gym which entails going up around 20 feet sans rope and falling onto a padded floor and huge crash pads) my technique and general fluidity are increased pretty dramatically to be honest. It's great because I feel weaker physically on the wall but rock climbing is 75% balance and technique and when I'm pretty blazed those things really shine through.

1) Video Games:

I am a video game fanatic. When I don't smoke and play, I am still good; but when I do anything worse than I know I am capable of, I let it slowly get to me until I begin to get angry at the game/my abilities and it begins effecting them negatively (sounds stupid I know, but its true).

When I am blazed and play (90% of the time), my playing is like a fluid symphony of maneuvering and whatnot that makes me feel like I can take on anything. Once again, if you do not play video games like crazy this will sound strange to you, but any serious gamer that's a pot-head HAS to know what I'm talking about.

2) Music:

I play electric guitar, and though I am no Hendrix yet, I can tell a huge different in my abilities when I am stoned vs sober. No need to go in to great detail here; It makes playing easier, more fun, and you connect / feel the music SO much more.

3) Food:

When I don't smoke heavily I eat less than a 5 year old. Though I know I should eat and want to, I get full very fast to the point where I normally can't eat a full meal because towards the end the thought of eating more is nausiating and painful.

4) Life:

This goes more with the psychedelic experience in general, but I'm sure most of you are aware of the miraculous spiritual healing powers of herb. It enables me to live my life in a way that focuses on what's important/eternal and think outside of the box on all of life's great questions.

Eat, sleep, breath (literaly, coughing up all the shit outta my lungs helps me breath a million times better), draw, read. Also Helps with hangovers, stress, detoxing, 'coming down'.

Basically the only it dosn't really help with is grocery shopping. You leave with like 20 more thens then you origonally planned on buying, and NOTHING you bought is what you went there for in the first place.

Arranging and mixing music. That's I often end up doing when I eat my weekly magic muffin.

But what also happens is that I end up stretching and doing some sort of improvised yoga, holding postures that just feel good at the time and feeling my muscles and spine relax and it feels so good.

That's what I love so much about eating cannabis versus of smoking it. The body buzz is amazing.

Going baked grocery shopping has lead to me buying more than I had money for, which was embarrassing at the register.

Music, awareness.
It enhances most things when used right, except maybe your motivation for doing shit thats not worth the fucking effort, like going to a dead end job for the rest of your life, paying taxes. Becuase while high u'll realize it.

I've consistently found that cannibis seems to unlock the brain, or thin the layer between the sub-consciouss i guess you could say. When trying to understand something, reading a book, meeting new people(actually anything you encounter daily) cannibis seems to really unlock the brain, making it so you feel the true essence of what that particular thing, idea, whatever-is, and it comes as a epiphany or realization.  These can obviously be misleading. My friend had a ridiculously funny epiphany that perhaps everyone was elergic to weed, thus explaining the runny nose and blood shot eyes.  Alas, my friend is just a moron.

A high tolerance really reduces this effect though, and usually just makes me tired.

Oh yea and psychic shit in groups always seems to double when everyones on the herb.

You know.. the only thing I really care about in my life, at the moment anyway.. is my music writing. It's what keeps me here.

I know weed always made music sound so much better.. because I could hear it in more detail. But in the back of my mind.. I always thought (If I keep smoking this.. am I going to be a less productive composer?)

I was so wrong. I struggled a little bit writing industrial music while high.. but when I started writing psytrance.. it's like it just connected with something.. and whenever I'm high - I'm seriously 10x better than sober when writing music.

I use it as a tool now to write music with rather than to just "get high".. although.. if I had a mate who smoked I'd just go blaze down the beach.. cook some food, then write some tunes. :happyweed:

I agree I compose better music when I'm high. It seems to pull out the talents God gave me.
