Thats sounds about right but its only been 36 hours and no patching needed...still sound good to fruit now?

One of the tricks with knowing when to fruit is to know what strain your working with. That casing looked a bit overgrown to me to just now starting to fruit. You risk overlay especially if you use a strain that takes time for vegitative growth to slow down. I think I would have started the fruiting cycle a bit sooner that where you are but thats me and I don't know what your growing....

Just go ahead and fruit it, don't worry about extra casing layers or overlay, you're fine.
