One thing that bugged me when i ate the .5 grams on thursday is that i got real nauseas when i was comming up and i was wondering if there are any ways of preventing the nausea i think it was because i had lunch that day ant like 11 and i ate them at 4 but im not sure

Exactly. Half a gram and you're getting sick?? Put them in a blender and add them to a smoothie. I've eaten 7 grams with just water and peanuts before.

The feeling of nausea is partly mental and partly not. Basically anything you have in your stomach when you are coming up can make you feel sick because of your mind. The best solution is to fast at least six hours or so before the dosing and make a tea with them, straining off the mushroom pieces and keeping only the liquid. Teas can be made by simply grinding up the mushrooms, boiling the pieces in water for 15 minutes, and straining off the pieces with a coffee filter or tea strainer. Use an artificial sweetner (don't use sugar since that's just something more you'll have to digest) to mask the flavor if you don't like it, but you need to sip the tea SLOWLY taking at least 20 minutes to finish it. If you do that the come up will be more gentle, including the nausea. Gulping down the tea will make the come up much harsher.
When you feel nausea know that it will pass and try to avoid concentrating on it. In the state of mind you'll be in, you have powers to make things worse by concentrating on them or to make things better by telling yourself it's not all that bad and concentrating on something else. Think of the naseau as an initiation to the experience and don't be afraid of it. If you feel like you are going to vomit, DO IT. Vomiting can be a wonderful release, and it is not something to be ashamed of. Get out of your head that vomiting means you are sick, a wimp, or whatever. It just means your body wasn't ready to handle the full impact of the come up, and maybe next time you will.
You sound like a newbie, and we've all been there at some time. What you have to realize is that if you want to experience mushrooms, you have to embrace the whole thing. No one likes the nausea, but it happens and you have to find a way to accept it. The good news is that nausea means that the fun part is just around the corner, so look at it like that. Cheers, mate.

Good post. And nausea doesn't happen all the time either, in my experience. But what Helix says is right, fast for awhile. I try to even go all day, like 12hours of fasting. And then I eat a small healthy meal along with the mushrooms. I've noticed that the trips are always more spiritual and intense (in a good way) when I do fast. And the next day the body/mind hangover is minimal.

I would go to the doctor, tell them you suffer from nausea for no apparent reason, and that you tried your friend's "Maxolon" tablets. Don't know what they're called by brand in other countries - but the generic drug name is metoclopramide.
I don't think it should interact with psilocybin, but you'd better check it out first!

Just trying to be helpful - I'm sure people can decide if they want to listen to me or not.
BTW - I've actually got a B.Pharm qualification so I wasn't just pulling it out of my arse

Definitely go with what blue helix said. I usually make tea, and I mix it in with some ginger tea. Helps make it taste a little better and the ginger helps the nausea. I usually don't experience any nausea this way.

if you cant make ginger tea, ginger root capsules are very helpful as well
eating well in general, and taking them on an empty stomach also goes a long way
