i think your info is wrong guys. My understading is that this includes all flavored tobacco products...blunts and wraps included, its also my assumption that menthol cigs are being targeted as well. None of this is solid fact but this is what ive heard down here in FLA, tho i hope im completely wrong...

but hookahs from wat ive heard are not under effect

Why am I a kingtard?

Because I'm happy that a miserable product that causes cancer and is marketed towards children has been removed from the market?

Do you have any idea how much it costs to manufacture a cigarette? The only reason flavored cigarettes existed was for marketing and corporate profit. they also fool people into wasting money on a shitty product.

Do you work for Phillip Morris son?

menthols are actually excluded. I read someone of an African American rights group wanting menthols to be banned because a disproportionate number of their community smokes them with the idea that they're less harmful than regular cigarettes (due to the minty flavor???)

False.

The only reason it may be considered "healthier" is because you can't just pull one out of your pocket and smoke them all through out the day where ever you are.

You can smoke 20 cigarettes a day easy on the other hand.

Source?

Im betting you dont have one...

There really aren't any sources one way or the other at this point. It's a pretty uncharted topic but I'm willing to bet smoking shisha isn't significantly healthier than smoking cigarettes.

Dude they look packages of candy. How can you say there not market for children?

You honestly believe that the tobacco conglomerates are not thinking about how to get the future generations hooked early for profit in the years to come?

Oh no, there all just a bunch of honest Joes, theres no way they want kids to smoke.

what are you willing to bet?

it doesn't matter if it's specifically marketed to children, they say the flavoring is to lure children in.

on another note, Hookahs are similar to cigarettes in the physical effects. You smoke more in a hookah session, but you don't hookah every 5-10 minutes, or even every week for that matter. Plus shisha doesn't have those other things added to cigarettes.

Quote:

The list of 599 additives approved by the US Government for use in the manufacture of cigarettes is something every smoker should see. Submitted by the five major American cigarette companies to the Dept. of Health and Human Services in April of 1994, this list of ingredients had long been kept a secret.

Tobacco companies reporting this information were:

      American Tobacco Company
      Brown and Williamson
      Liggett Group, Inc.
      Philip Morris Inc.
      R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company

While these ingredients are approved as additives for foods, they were not tested by burning them, and it is the burning of many of these substances which changes their properties, often for the worse. Over 4000 chemical compounds are created by burning a cigarette, many of which are toxic and/or carcinogenic. Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide and ammonia are all present in cigarette smoke. Forty-three known carcinogens are in mainstream smoke, sidestream smoke, or both.

It's chilling to think about not only how smokers poison themselves, but what others are exposed to by breathing in the secondhand smoke. The next time you're missing your old buddy, the cigarette, take a good long look at this list and see them for what they are: a delivery system for toxic chemicals and carcinogens.

Cigarettes offer people only a multitude of smoking-related diseases and ultimately death.

Yeah I can Google it too, and I have many many times.
There aren't very many studies, even less are reported on reputable sites, and it's a pretty even split.

"are at least as high, if not higher, than cigarettes."

thats not very definitive.

it doesn't matter if it's specifically marketed to children, they say the flavoring is to lure children in.

on another note, Hookahs are similar to cigarettes in the physical effects.

Thank god that's perfectly legal to smoke but the devil's weed isn't

Maybe thats because we haven't made a list and studied the amount of additives in hookah tobacco?

Like you said, theres not that much research on the health effects of hookah smoking.

False.

The only reason it may be considered "healthier" is because you can't just pull one out of your pocket and smoke them all through out the day where ever you are.

You can smoke 20 cigarettes a day easy on the other hand.

Lol yeahhhhhhh thats bullshit :whatever:

People consider it healthier because shisha does not contain all the other chemicals/carcinogens in a common cigarette.  As far as comparing shisha to all natural cigarette tobacco(not containing chemicals), I'm not sure whats better which is why I'm not gonna make up some bullshit idea I came up with in my head and call it a fact.

I don't see the words "natural" or "organic" ANYWHERE on the shisha at my local stores. What makes you think theres not a shit load of additives in it?

Don't bullshit the bullshitter.

i really wish i could find a list of what's in hookahs. I honestly think they're less harmful than cigarettes but not by much. But that's just mein opinion, I have no evidence to support that claim.
