BURBANK, Wash. -- Walla Walla County sheriff's deputies say they have seized between 70,000 and 80,000 marijuana plants from a tree farm about three miles east of Burbank in south-central Washington.
The estimated value is likely more than $2 million.
Sheriff Mike Humphreys told the Tri-City Herald on Thursday that the marijuana site was found in the same area where 40,000 plants were confiscated last month.

CLE ELUM, Wash. -- Authorities have seized more than 9,500 marijuana plants in what is being touted as the biggest pot bust ever in Kittitas County.
Federal and state investigators joined sheriff's deputies in the raid early Wednesday in the rugged Teanaway (tee-AN'-uh-way) area about 40 miles northwest of Ellensburg. Nobody was arrested, but 9,514 plants with an estimated value of about $1,000 each were removed.
Undersheriff Clayton Myers says investigators also found fertilizer, gardening tools, more than a half-mile of irrigation pipe, and living quarters made out of lodge poles and pine bows.
Myers says the biggest previous marijuana raid in the county was less than half as big, about 4,000 plants in Coleman Canyon northeast of Ellensburg in 2007.

LOS ANGELES—Authorities say they have removed about 3,500 marijuana plants found growing in sensitive park land in the Santa Monica Mountains.
The National Park Service said Wednesday that trash, pipes, camping equipment, fertilizer and pesticides were also removed Tuesday from three plantations. Two were located in Malibu Creek State Park and one in the Zuma-Trancas Canyon area.
Park officials said the plantations threaten the park's ecosystem, disturb wildlife in the area and that growers pose a fire danger when they make illegal campfires.
They said it costs up to $12,000 to clean up an acre of cultivated pot, taking away money that could be spent on public programs and scientific research.

DECKERS, Colo. (AP) — A rancher searching for stray cattle in a forest southwest of Denver stumbled upon a marijuana growing operation that included living quarters and an irrigation system fed by a diverted stream.
Jefferson County authorities say they seized 5,100 plants weighing 1 ton on July 9. They say it had an estimated street value of $2.5 million.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Jacki Kelley said Friday each plant had an individual irrigation drip line in a field that stretched for three-quarters of a mile. It was in steep, rugged terrain in the Pike National Forest.
A shack-like house at the site was stocked with food, clothing, sleeping bags and cooking utensils.
No suspects have been identified.
