yet another newb RH ques..

ok read a ton about casings but..... if i need the rh in my ter. to be 85%-95%, should i always mist if it falls under that.. i understand that the casing holds plent y of moisture on its own.. i read that one is not supposed to spray during colonization for fear of contamss but its not clear.
so far 9 jars show signs of healthy growth, and yet some have not even started to grow anything.... only one possible cantam. Ques: is it a risk it all for one to keep a poss. contam. jar in with the others during incubation? should one seperate it? theyve got airtight lids so maybe thats a stupid ques... heh :cool:

1. Yes, mist if it falls below desired RH, but what I do is not mist at all. I use perlite humid tek, and if it gets too high, I just crack the lid. This, of course, requires a hygrometer and about week or so to get the right crack size.
2. You don't worry about RH at all during colonization, because they're sealed in a jar and shouldn't be opened opened until 100% colonization.
3. Its possibly a risk, but I don't know, I never had a contam before. Seperate if it makes you feel good. And no, that wasn't a stupid question.
