Has anyone made home brewed sake?

I have home brewed my own wine and have home distilled vodka, rum and various liqueurs. I would like to try my hand at making sake.
Has anyone ever made their own from one of the kits? If so how did it turn out, and do you have any helpful hints or suggestions that would make a better product.
Thanks

Thallus' sake thread, I posted in his thread, because I sort of followed the outline he used. The sake I made was very tasty.
I bought dried cultured rice from South River Miso. Their Miso is also very good, cost about twice as much as the stuff at Asian store, but the Asian store stuff is just tastless salty paste.

Bump
I still don't understand Koji. It seems that it is a fungi that converts starches during fermentation? how does it survive in that environment? and where do I get it?
Is it possible to culture my own Koji?

I'm not sure if the fungi in koji survives during the fermentation. Aspergillus oryzae make amylase an enzyme that converts the starches in grains to sugars. Wine and brewery stores sell the spores with which you can make your own koji. Some other places sell koji proper, the link I made in my previous post in this thread is one of the places you can get koji. They don't sell it during the summer.

Thanks :]
When the recipe says something like "add 1.5 cups of Koji" does it mean add 1.5 cups or rice (colonized by A. oryzae)?
i'm reading http://www.taylor-madeak.org/media/blogs/tmblog/Sake%20Making.pdf , do you have experiences with the this method as well as the one Thallus posted?

they mean 1.5 cups colonized rice
I saw that link, I followed the proportions in the recipe in thallus post, but I used already prepared dried koji.
