I hardly consider Kyle Orton a starting QB.
They got a 1st and a 3rd round pick. And a 1st round pick next year

From the tenor of your posts you think a spicy Brat from a street cart was too much for Cutler. I'll say it again, I'll take that poison in Buffalo any fucking day.

It doesn't matter what you think.
Multiple NFL coaches and GMs consider him a starting QB.
Do you know more than them?
And okay, it was two #1s and a #3.
Big dif.

You're obviously retarded.
He started in Chicago for over a year. Coach Lovie Smith and GM Jerry Angelo.
He has been annointed the starter in Denver. Coach McDaniels and GM who-the-fuck-ever.
Follow?

Can we have the gay broncos convo elsewhere? This is my first fantasy league and I have no clue how to play or anything. Save the debating and shit talking for when points are going up on the board

matt was kind enough to post the league settings over in the main football thread, you should familiarize yourself with the scoring system before you draft but thats really all you can do. maybe do some mock drafts as well to get an idea of what players might be available

No. I thought the debate was if Denver reaped enough for Cutler. I say yes, and they weren't going to get any more. MTT, and you, say that Pro Bowl QB's are SO valuable, while I argue that in this case, jay cutler is not. MTT then argues that they got a TON for Cutler, maybe the most in history in his words. Well then, if they did get a LOT, the most in history, and it was a fairly equal trade, what's the beef? How can it be a "bad" trade to get rid of a malcontent for the largest haul in NFL history?

My only point is that I would be quite happy to take the toxic malcontent on my team. I have no idea, nor do I care about, the value of the package the Ponies got.

He may be perfectly happy and of perfect character in Chicago. Maybe he'll never have to go ho again. But if there's one thing I have learned in my life, it's that people who are willing to go to any length to get what they want, and that behavior is rewarded, as a general rule they become more spoiled and selfish and much more likely to repeat that behavior in the future.
Will it happen again? I don't know. All I know is that Denver COULD NOT, IMO, reward that behavior.

This was not the biggest trade in NFL history. Not even close
Dallas traded Herschel Walker to the Vikings in 1990 to facilitate the drafting of Emmitt Smith In return Dallas received 3 first round picks, 3 second round picks, a 3rd round, and a 6th rounder. And also 5 players included. Dallas in total gave up 1 player (Walker), 2 3rd round picks, and a 10th round pick.
1987, Eric Dickerson left the Rams; they received 3 1st round picks, and 3 second round picks, and 2 players.
Those are just 2 I can think of.
I think you catch my drift

Madtown was the one who both stated that the Broncos were stupid for trading Cutty, presumably based on the opinion that they did not get anywhere near equal value for jay, and who then asked the question "has anyone ever been traded for more" when I stated that according to media insiders, both in Denver and nationally, real offers for Cutler were minimal, which should say something about how the league views him.
So on one side he says the Broncos were dumb, on the other he asked "has a team ever gotten MORE for one guy"? I'm not sure I get his point.
He's just in love with jay being the Bears QB the way a virgin is in love with his first piece. There's nothing the other guys who have been with her already can say to change his mind. She's THE ONE

I dont blame him. Jay Cutler is a great young QB who has already been to a pro-bowl.
I was looking at all the players Denver has released. They have made more offseason changes than any other team in the NFL. I am anxious to see how they do. There are always a couple teams that surprise you. And playing against the Chiefs and Raiders twice gives them some hope for a wild card. I think the Chargers will rebound big.

In relevant news, there are 1-2 openings left. So I will set up the league either tonight or tomorrow and start getting out invites. Then whatever spots are left at the end of next weekend will be filled by people in the main league. I anticipate several people on that list flaking, but we'll see

Yeah, we'll see. And maybe being back home and getting slurped like he is in Chicago will make Jay happy and he'll go on to a long and productive career. But it wasn't going to happen.

Sure. Now the league is full (as long as everyone registers)
I will send out the invites tonight or tomorrow
anyone from this point who still wants a spot will be added to a waiting listing. But I can bet there will be a couple of spots that open up
