mixing jars?
    #1074321 - 11/21/02 05:17 PM (16 years, 26 days ago)

i had an idea and was wondering if anyone else has tried it. The idea is to make a casing using 2 jars colinized at the same time with the same strain. Here's the idea. I want to try mixing 1 colonized rye jar with 1 colonized BRF jar.
what do you guys think

It would more than likely work, but what would be the point?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I wonder why you'd try it.

Sounds like an interesting plan. I'm not sure if your yeild per flush would be any different or you would get more flushes. But I think you will come to learn that grain is a better bulk than brf or even a mixture of the two.
