 Setting for Ego Death Experience

I'm currentely preparing mentally for what I hope to be an ego death experience.
I'll be getting 7 grams of mushrooms. At first, i thought of using the lemon tek to achieve it, but i want it to be a nice slow ride of a trip. But, my bedroom is in the basement of my house.
Heres what I have planned so far:
Complete utter darkness (can't see hand 6 inches from face)
No music, nobody else, just myself. I'll have my friend on standby just in case things get to rough for me to handle.
No sharp objects, nothing dangerous around. I'll be meditating up to the point of tripping, and hopefully will be in the meditative state of mind by the time the trip ensues, i doubt it though.
Now. Is there anything else I can do for my setting to amplify the affects?
As for the process of eating..
I plan on fasting for a day or 2 before hand, only drinking water.
How many grams would you say I would need to achieve this? I know it's different for everyone, but any input is appreciated.
Other than that. I'd appreciate any advice/other options of whatever you enjoyed while in this experience. Gracias

i would go with 5gms......if u have xanax leave a stick around JIC
also keep in mind this experience is not pleasurable experience... but if u can troop it out then u get the reward
Typical Symptoms of an Ego Death
Sense of panic that cannot be attached to a particular
thought.
Sense of urgency in combination with the sense of panic.
Feeling that something needs to be fixed right now -
NOW!
Feeling a complete loss of control.
Overwhelming urge to run.
Lack of comfort - chicken noodle soup, a warm blanket
and a cup of hot chocolate will do nothing.
More panic at the realization that old comforts don't
work.
Constant, relentless stirring of the mind.
Inability to identify the problem - sense that something is
wrong.
Constant mind searching that leads no where.
Complete inability to identify the source of feelings.
Feeling that you woke up one morning and everything is
different - nothing feels the same - but you can't explain
the difference.
Often times - not to scare you - but in an ego death there
is a real sense of death.

Mmm, i thought about xanax, but i'm susceptible to addiction to downers. 5 grams would be solid eh?
Think that having a friend trip with me on the other 2 grams kill the chance for ego death? I can't seem to ever get down as deep as i'd like in my mind with people around

5 gms would be good if the grew on some horse or cow crap...if off cakes i would take the 7 grams
i prefer being alone....for the whole ego death needs to be dealt with alone unless things are going very wrong .....if that does happen drop 1/3 stick of xanax.....if its very very bad take 1/2 the stick...u will not get addicted to take in emergency situation

True man, i'll just eat the whole quarter. Have a friend on standby, and see if i can't find some xannies before I decide to go on the voyage. Thanks for the quick response.
I'm meditating daily up to the point of the trip to have my mind ready for it. I'm not afraid, and i'm ready to embrace the experience.

That music is pretty epic for a video game!
I'm not so sure if i want music to accompany me on this journey or not. I always had it perceived that with just the shrooms and me it'll be the most intense experience.

for me i think there an ego death and a ego loss.....
ego loss is good, the ego death is not...for me, ego oloss usually comes before ego death...don't ask me why put thats the way it goes for me....its like when i'm coming back from ego loss u enter into like 'ego ressurection' which feels like ego death
dont take the xanax unless u have to....it will help with handling the experience just knowing u have an 'abort' button...well at least within 15 mins or so

I plan on having a journal with me to write down key things so i can remember it all. I don't plan on aborting.. Unless I absolutely have too. My last shroom trip I felt like I was reborn into a new person, but i wouldn't call it ego loss or anything. I just felt rejuvenated.

I have hopes that I'll someday be able to achieve that state without the use of drugs and just soley based on my mind.
Even in pitch darkness am I still gonna have visuals?
Never really tripped in complete darkness.

yes u will get CEV in the dark.....what u want is ego loss...u want to be merged with everything......when u fell them come on...just meditate or just lay there and u may feel like your dying and just go with....u will go out of body and get what u seek....thats the easy part thou....the real fun comes after that

Not sure but maybe the journal may distract you during your meditation like maybe if you had a great flow of consciousness it may cause you to break concentration by your want to use it.

fuck the xanax, if you want to have ego death, then just let go. when you brain is yelling at you to panic, just lay flat on your back and let the mushrooms run through you. it is so amazing after it happens. like a thousand trumpets blowing in exhaltation. just let go. breathe. die.
