Rhizo in my Casing??

okay...I have used birdseed colonized equestriane poo and took special care to make sure that my casing soil met the correct moisture and pH content. Everything has gone swell up to this point, where now I feel a question is needed to be asked to ease my mind.
Thus far...the mycillium has surfaced to the casing soil in nice white, fluffy spots. Today, however, I have noticed rhizomophoric strands reaching to the top of the casing instead of the fluffy??? Is this right or some sort of external factor that needs to be corrected??

Is is rizomorphic growth growing vertically (or close to vertically) thrghou the casing or is it growing linearly across the surface of the casing? If it is the former than it sound like you did a good job insuring optimum moisture in the casing, if it is the later than the only thing I can think is there must be some kind of nutrient value to you casing layer, of course it wouldn't actually be a casing layer if that were the case.

The Rhizo is growing vertically up through the casing layer. So this sounds like a GOOD thing, then?? *hopeful look*

Rhizo grwoth of any kind is good.
That is where your primordia will form first.
Naturally your setup is working if the good growht is occuring.
