Just cut down my first flush and had a few questions

My mushrooms look Awesome!! Such a good feeling to create something from scratch! Anyway I was looking around trying to get the answers to my questions but couldn't find them so if any of you could help I would appreciate it very much. I need to know what I need to do to start my second flush? Do I need to dunk the cake and roll it in vermiculite again? Or will more mushrooms just start growing when I put the cakes back in? The cakes seemed kind of dry when cut the mushrooms down... Do I need to do something to rehydrate them? I'm sure these are simple questions, but this is my first time so thanks in advance for the help!

Yarr bro dunk and roll once again, place it in your fruiting chamber and your second flush is on its way. Make sure to re hydrate your Perlite if your using it.

Lightly scrape any remnants of the harvested mushrooms from the surface of the cakes. Don't carve your cakes up, just clear off the old, useless bits of growth to make way for new mushrooms. A fork works well; just pretend it's a rake and you're clearing dead leaves from a lawn.
Also, dunk and roll again.

It helps to let the cakes sit dry in the terrarium for a few days of 'rest', and then re-dunk. They won't fruit again for a few days anyway, so wait until then to dunk so they'll have that moisture available when needed.
Don't roll for the second flush. Dunk only. Also, don't forget to rinse under the faucet with running water before and after the dunk. This removes mold spores that have naturally landed on the cakes. RR

Just wondering: why wouldn't you want to roll again for the second flush?

You already have your casing layer colonized any more isn't really necessary the myc would have to run that too and the energy is put to better use fruiting (developing primordia). Myc always needs a rest period where it digests more of the nutrients it colonized during the substrate run this can take anywhere from overnight to a week depending on how heavy the previous flush was. After harvest I always bring the moisture up to near saturation then let it rest without misting and minimal FAE's.

Yep! Think of it as a disinfecting rinse.
