X2 18 Gallon Tub Grow 1

Hi this is my first grow ever. Hopefully all works out.
Today (7/23/09) I patched up my casing (with casing already in the bin, my initial casing was even, but "rocky" so I evened it all out).
I'm not going to post all of my pictures/videos yet. Probably if I even get mushrooms I will .
So if you can offer any advice I'd accept any.
I'll start off with recent pics so you have an idea of the grow size.
(7/23/2009)
How did these two look for patching? Ready?
After Patching w/ a new light
Overall Shots of the grow.
(Update 7/24/2009) The mycelium is showing up after patching much faster than I had anticipated. I'm excited though, as far as I can tell this looks like it will all come up very even. : ). Keeping temps at about 73-75, and I spray after each fanning (count 120 fans and spray 3-4 times in the air above the tub.) I think I'm going to move up to 5 fannings a day. I got out a non-phone camera so you can see it in better detail, however, the contrast is a bit off so it's not perfect.
(Update 7/26/2009) One on my tubs is showing signs of cobweb mold. 1. It's where mycelium hasn't been coming up yet. 2. It showed up literally in probably 6-8 hours as I slept because I checked everything before I went to sleep, and shortly after I woke up. I am going to treat it with 100%, 3% H202. Here are the best close-up pics I could get:
Creepy, upon spraying it, it made a crackling sound for a while as if whatever it was, was definitely dying. The wispy-ness is gone now, too.

Agreed. You need some holes in that tub to optimize FAE.
BTW, those are the same tubs I use. Perfect size.

I couldnt agree more, get some polyfill as well to jam in the holes if you choose to do so.

Definite cob web H2O2 will work, but you need to increase Fae or you will continue to have problems. GL, CH

Yes, that's cobweb mold. Especially since it "melted" when you sprayed it.
Cobweb mold thrives in moist, stagnant air. It is just another reason you need some holes in that tub.

Ok, thank you. Damn... I thought four times a day fanning for a 120 count would be enough.. ha-ha. I suppose I'll have to consider going out and finding the poly-fill that was recommended for FAE holes in the tub.

or even do just some 1/4" holes above the substrate all the way around it.
if seen a couple grows doing this lately and the results seem great
i think tahoe was asking monotubbers why they didnt just do holes like in a shotgun FC many months ago

I think it's too late to save this grow : /
It seems to be crashing and burning to green mold. I would throw it out right now BUT I want to salvage absolutely anything I can from it since I haven't actually seen a colony of green mold. First I had found one rye grain and a tip of straw in one bin. So I took it out. A little while ago I found a couple more green SPOTS, and I scooped it all out and put casing down. I bleached the area too, hoping that it doesn't spread. Well now there is a 2 inch area of white "mycelium" that appears to be very very light green. Could just be my eyes but I doubt it. I'm giving it over night to see if I should bleach that too--if I find any more I'll outright throw it out. Very disappointing. One thing though, which I couldn't come to a conclusion with from searching the forums is that: Is this unidentified (trich, asp, other?), very scarce and barely sporulating green mold dangerous to my health? As I said there are no massive colonies or anything like that, not even anything obviously green on the surface, but I can be quite the hypochondriac and probably won't be able to sleep tonight for fear of some massive attack on my lungs or dying or some crazy shit like that. I assume it takes a LOT of mold colonizing and a lot of breathing it in over a some what long period of time.
I do plan on regressing to the BRF Tek I've already sent in for a Cambodian strain from Ralph though, and I'll hope for a good run next time.
