...Because if you were trying to get a passport, and if you don't have a Driver's License, you'll have to produce:
Elementary school transcripts from 20 years ago, along with school pictures for each script;
A notary and witnessed statement from my Grandma saying who I was born to and when.
A record of your Baptism.
A Long form Birth Certificate
Your Mom as a witness with her Driver's Lisense BECAUSE you don't drive.(THEY DO NOT ACCEPT A STATE I.D...Apparently, you don't exist because you don't drive.)
Your Social Security Card
They also quizzed me about why I was going, and for what reason...AND WHO I would be hanging out with...almost said I met the Girl on The Shroomery
(this is in relation to my now uphill battle to get to Germany)
SO can anyone tell me where the nearest Wal-Mart Brand Concentration Camp is?

I could, but I don't have the time or money to get it before my leave date....I also never needed to know how to drive based on where I live
(Transportation to work has never been an issue for me without having a Drivers Card)

ok so, at the time i had to bring in a friend (with a driver's license) who swore i was me.
and then, i got my passport.
psych. i didn't really.
they held it up again at the end, and didn't tell me, and if i hadn't called a week in advance and waited Literally for 2 days in the NYC passport agency, my application would have rotted in their inbox.
and i would have rotted in nyc.
ok so lesson is:

And why do none of you think of the other side of things? Should it be easy for someone who SHOULD NOT be leaving the country to be able to just do so? Hell we should just let anyone in as well, fuck background checks. FREEDOM! FUCK YEAH!

yes it does if you have never owned a car you can't go take the drivers test to get one unless you know someone who has a car you can use also state IDs work as identification apparently just not in situautions like his.
