For the ppl that use a digital camera and load pics to their computers.... What program do you use? I have a JVC camera and have only found JLIP video capture. It blows ass and never works. Anyone else use anything different?

I am aware of all these programs, but i believe non of them do more then edit a picture. I need a transfering tool that can "talk" with the camera.

Thanks for moving this by the way. Didnt even know this forum existed.

I'm disappointed to see no answers. Some how everyone seems to be able to put pictures on here, but no one can tell how.

Get photoshop. I use a 8mm video camcorder (non-digital). The quality isn't good but I can make still frames with the video software (IMovie). I usually have to make them smaller to post on the shroomery tho. That's where photoshop comes in handy. You can download it for free on some of the share-ware sites like Carracho. I want to get a digital camera. How is the image quality on yours?

not bad, its pretty old though, thats why im having so much trouble with compatibility. No memory stick, no floppy, no usb connection. Just good old tapes.

This is an example of the quality resolution I get with the video camera. You said "tapes". Are you using analog tapes? Is it a videocamera?

I use a Sony digital camera, it comes with its own driver.
Windows see's it as a removable disk.

Sorry I can't help you further.

Good luck

Yes, it uses analog tapes. It is both a camera and camcorder. Unfortunately, mine is not seen as a removable drive and is actually only seen through this program. It uses the same connection as plug and play (joystick). Damn this thing. Looks like there isnt a simple/cheap resolution to this one.

Thanks for the responses though

if i had a floppy or memory stick i could probably do this. But there is now way to just look at the contents of a tape. A still image has to be transfered first and then saved in jpeg/bmp/etc. format.

Cool. Are you using a converter to digitize the videotape? I just bought mine, a Sony camcorder, at a pawnshop. I have to digitize the video using a converter (also made by Sony). I wanna get a real digital camera.
