I ordered like ten three packs from doc fosters a while back..... they had that five dollars to ship ANYTHING..... BC

Edit: An update on my birthing post from last page...
Here is how the B+ turned out, always a good performer. The mazapatec tub is still knotting with a handful of pins, it was a terribly slow colonizer and looks to be an equally slow fruiter.
Didn't get a wet weight but will update with dry weights for the first flush soon.

Fan 3x daily, mist morning and night to replace lost evap.
This was WBS to coir/verm/gypsum spawned 4:1
I never use real casing but did lay crumpled wax paper on this after the the first day of evap to get rid of all the water droplets that formed during colonization.
It was multispore so uneven pinset... 90% of the fruits in that pic were on 3 clusters

Bulk does not need casing from what I've read though I've seen experienced casing users get amazing pinsets. IME fluffy mycelium once FAE has hit it "deflates" and forms a pretty good "casing layer" on the top of the sub from under which most primordia develop
To me, casing on bulk is simply something for contams to exploit.
I may play with casings in the future if I ever get to work with isolates, but no sense trying for pinsets on multispore IMO.

Yea I just am used to my old ways and am worried because I'm putting all my eggs in one basket. Never had many problems in the past though when I followed the rules:

greenhouse with cased trays ^

With 6 tubs, seems like a perfect chance to experiment and share with us
Edit: BTW... lovely pic...casings seem to make such lovely uniform and straight fruits.

I'm being really careful though, not doing g2g's just all from syringe.

That was my freak tray, I did probably 20 or so of them, they all turned out great but that tray alone produced the nicest pinset and largest mushrooms I had ever grown so far:

Wow thats a long stem. I've noticed casings in GH's commonly have nice long stems. I dont get these much if at all. I wonder if it is genetic or FAE related. Maybe its just an optical illusion.
You work with casings so i'm sure you are more sterile than I am. I dont even think about contams. I dont properly pasteurize. I certainly dont do much prevention once the sub is fully colonized. (i use coir subs only) It may be that my house just doesnt have a lot of trich spores floating around. It's a very dirty and dusty house though.
In the ten tubs i've done, only one ever showed a sign of trich, and it was clearly on some exposed grains i got from tearing out a cluster.
Since then I cut instead of pull my fruits, no sign of trich ever since. Though I do throw the sub out after flush 2.
If you work with coir and are clean with your spawn, not casing, and your grow room is even remotely clean.. that puts the odds way in your favor... in my limited noob opinion.

Well thanks for your opinion it means a lot. I'll be posting pics, I wanted to do a grow log but it's too much of a pain, I have no camera but my built in laptop webcam, I could technically just point my laptop and hit the mouse button but.... I'll see, now that I think about it this is gonna be a big grow so I probably should.
The thing about those huge mushrooms though which sucked was that they were "South American" from Ralphsters, I ate 7 grams dry and reached a level 3 trip, they were just super weak but MS also... But on the other hand, I grew out MS F+, ate 2 grams and was blown out of the water and pleasantly surprised. So I just ordered these 3 syringes of F+ again hoping that I have a repeat of last time hehehe

I have had my mino mono in fruiting conditions for two days now. The humidity doesn't want to go above 80. I have a analog hygrometer on the inside of my tub. I also have a cool mist humidifier about 2 feet away from the tub running on 30 minute cycles 24/7
I am in in a desert with low RH and I'm only misting once in the morning and fanning twice. I am using wax paper.
Should I mist more? When misting do I want to do it enough so I can see water droplets on the surface of the coir/mycelium?

Don't worry about your hygrometer. Mist the substrate down good and wet, then let it evaporate. Humidity at the surface will be near 100%, it has to be.
But with the wax paper in, you don't need to do anything at all. Humidity under the wax paper is 100%, above it simply does not matter. You don't need to mist much or at all with the paper in place.

Is the cool mist loud? Is it helping the comfort level in your home?
I'd move it a little farther away if it's convenient. Two feet is too close, it's there to affect the room, not the tub.

I bought the cool mist because of the grow specifically given my geographic location.
I'll move it away from the tub today

I hear you, it's dry here too. I can get up to 35 if I run the ultrasonic.

Once I see pins an remove the wax paper, will I need to start misting more or will once a day real well still do the trick?

Maybe once, maybe twice. Depends, watch the surface to see. But don't mist it all day long, spray it and leave it.
