I think he's wondering if the vinyl can be pressure cooked or not.
I had to take a second look too... "what the hell is P cable?"

If that's the question then yes it can be, have yet to have a problem with it. Just looks cleaner then a sharpie on a jar, I've come to realize that this hobby is all about being organized and clean!

We have the wholes drilled before placing our coir and spawn into the tub, then stick them in a black trash bag wrapped up, and stuck away. I'm pretty sure we are on the same page of Doc's tek...no way to drill whole once were about to fruit it.
We just peak once a day, or every other day to give it some air, and at that point I took the pics.

Exactly. Drill, fill, colonize in bag.

Alright so out of curiosity, I don't know if I missed it in my reading or what but after taking these out of the bags and set in a room temp room, and also now with a humidifier, approx. how long should it take to see some activity?

10 days or so. Longer you leave them in the bag, less you have to wait after you take the bags off.
Yeah, PCable = can you pressure cook it. Guess not if it's vinyl.

Thank you sir, I'll keep ya posted! And yea the vinyl will hold on, but it's not guaranteed. I also do some glass etching, I will prob set up on doing that once I get some of these Half Gallon Jars together.
What is your take on those?

I have some half gallons, but I usually use quarts. Half gallons don't colonize as easily with quarts, though they work ok. And unless you have big hands, they're too big.

Whenever you get a chance, would you do me a huge favor and measure up the size of one...I can't check them personally to see if they would fit in my PC, or in that case how many would fit in my PC.
If I can fit a couple in there I would be interested in giving it a shot.
Thanks

Ok so one of the tubs started to pin before we took it out of the bag, looked decent to me, took it out and it's been 2 days now they have yet to do anything.
Also our tubs look to have a slight bluish color on top, almost as if the mycelium bruised....any suggestions or thoughts.
Thanks

I'm using quart jars at the moment, I just asked about the half gallon cause I saw them online and I like to experiment. Just use to the whole PCing a jar deal and letting it go from there.
Jars are easier to contain and keep in the area I have for them.

Is the blue from drying?
I like quart jars. Don't really see a need for bags at my scale. Get a rotation going and two or three dozen jars is plenty.

Were using the quart jars for this, and I don't know if it's from drying...here's an up close pic of the pins, you can see that slight blue.

Could I do a mini mono in a bucket? I picked up some thick plastic trash bins for a dollar each and was wondering if I could do a mini mono with them? Otherwise I'll use ottos bucket tek. Thanks
