I just found out (from you actually) that oyster mushrooms are more temperamental than cubes...Will this work with oyster?

haha, ok, thanks for clearing that up. The reason I asked is someone was saying that they dont use cat boxes for their bulk martha grows because if something contams, they need to toss it. As both are made of hard plastic etc...

Also: bleach doesn't kill mold spores. 
also again: these tubs do have an inside corner, you'll want to use a toothbrush or similar.

I think its the properties of soap.
Simple explanation.
It changes the charge of some things so they repel instead of stick. Meaning things come off of the plastic. things being spores, bacteria etc.

I use one of these to effectively reach and scrub the corners of all my tubs and trays. Works great for cleaning the insides of jars too.
@ slappy, Pressure sterilizing is what kills the endospores. We wash our jars as well as our grains before loading them into jars to decrease the amount of endospores that has to be incinerated by our sterilizers.

But that makes sense. I'm sure if you used a liberal amount of bleach (Without killing yourself from inhalation) it would do the same. But no point in using that much bleach for something soap can do faster and without the toxicity.
And I understand why we pressure sterilize the jars, it was cleaning the container I was asking about
