Want to buy a bridge?
Think about it.
There's a record of the ticket.
There's a record of the court date.
There's a record of the plea.
There's a record of the state receiving a payment.
There's a record of the probation
While the points didn't go on his record (as he received a 0 point deal) there are still plenty of records for the insurance company to look at.
Why are so many at this site so quick to disbelieve what that don't want to hear and so quick to believe what they do want to hear?

got my tickets dismissed, and there is still record of me recieving the ticket and record of the court date, and i can guarantee you the insurance company i have insurance through cannot find the details. They are one of the top 3 auto insurers in the nation, and i know this because it is my place of employment.
don't know about going on probation and everything as i have never checked, but i used their system to look myself up, and no records of anything, mine were dismissed on court day.

So we agree then. It's not quite the same thing.
Thanks.

ur just a grade a asshole aren't you? Your post states that a record of the ticket and court date could be records that could be found and used to increase your insurance rates:

.. .. ..
there are still plenty of records for the insurance company to look at.
and that is incorrect.
you're just a jerk with sand in the vagina daily as is evident by your recent posts, maybe you need a douch?.

Hate being wrong do you?
"Conventional methods [4] for determining costs of motor vehicle insurance involve gathering relevant historical data from a personal interview with, or a written application completed by, the applicant for the insurance and by referencing the applicant's public motor vehicle driving record that is maintained by a governmental agency, such as a Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Such data results in a classification of the applicant to a broad actuarial class for which insurance rates are assigned based upon the empirical experience of the insurer. Many factors are deemed relevant to such classification in a particular actuarial class or risk level, such as age, sex, marital status, location of residence and driving record."
That's OK, no need to actually come out and admit you're wrong.

most certainly.
For some more information. Our company uses the same system that the mass majority of other companies use to do these checks, and i have even had to jump in and mess with the code that integrates their system into ours. What it catches onto is the records of the tickets based on their disposition. While my tickets were dismissed, they are returned by the system that checks the DMV databases, but they are filtered out as not applicable to insurance quotes since they are in a disposition of dismissed, its similar to the status they go to when you take defensive driving for a ticket (this is always the best choice if you can't get it dismissed, defensive driving not only leaves the ticket in a disposition that is favorable int he sense that it does not apply to your rates, but it normally also provides a nice discount on your policy, at our company, tis around $50 per 6 month policy). So, with the OPs case, it depends on how the court reports the disposition of the ticket to the DMV/DPS...the insurance companies do not look at court dockets, there is no need to, its an assload of data to filter through with no key to get in to find the applicable cases. They simply use your SSN and DL#/ST and input that into this application (again, i have no clue whats actually going on in there, as its a product sold by another company, its source code is closed), but i do know that is what we input into the application to get our results.
Insurance companies do not see nor look for (though theoretically they could, as they are public domain) record of court dates, pleas, or probation, they simply see the ticket and its disposition within the DMV/DPS system...
