Recommend me a coffeeshop/smartshop/nightclub in Amsterdam (BABY!)

Going there with a group of friends in september before i start my first year of college.

Any tips concerning types of weed/coffeeshops/smartshops/niteclubs and Amsterdam in general are very welcome thanks!

"Lost in Amsterdam" was my favorite. Especially if you get the couch in the front window. Very cosy place...only downside is they dont sell weed...BYO

really really nice smartshop: Kokopelli in Warmoesstraat, quite near Centraal Station.

general funsville = Leidseplein! [pronounced "Laid zeh Plane" KIND OF. good enough to ask someone where it is]

both areas i mentioned are full of coffeeshops/smartshops, though Warmoesstraat is i'd say even more "touristy" (esp. drugtouristy) than Leidseplein.

if you get a chance check out the Vondelpark.

Amsterdam is awesome :smile:

Just went there

Check out the Bulldog/the doors cafe, theres a 3rd one too right next to em, theyve got fine prices and fine bud, close to everything and yet not in the middle of the hectic areas :smile:

(I reccomend getting yourself some Kush from the third store I mentioned and Amnesia haze from the doors café, those two got me flying waaaaaaaay high throughout all of amsterdam and the most euphoric body high eva' :heart:

Just ask around for smartshops, there are a couple of them/mixed headshops around, you can get truffles there for sure, some might have cubes under the desk and lots of other wonderful remedies :>

You should check out Paradiso in Amsterdam, thats usually got good gigs on, I really enjoyed Paard van Troje (a club) but thats in Den Haag well worth the the short train ride though.

I thought they recently banned shrooms after tourist deaths. I still think they'd sell Psilocybin Mushrooms, but not to tourists. :shrug:

Well herb prices ranges from 7-20euro a 1.0/1.3 baggies over there, find someone who knows someone if you want something like e/coke whatever, dont buy it off the street.

You can buy live growing cacti too in many smartshops, but if you really want one, take a good look around and find one that has been taken good care of (:

And like I said, try and ask kindly at the smartshops if they have any cubensis mushrooms instead of the truffles.

I warn you, it easily gets more expensive than you think, I went down there and ended up spending double of what I had planned and came home broke, was one of my most amazing vacations though ;p you just gotta get used to the fact that theres loads of people just about everywhere inside the city.

Try La Tertulia, its been running for 27 years by a woman and her daughter(in 3 years of visiting I've not seen anyone else working there). Its 2 floors, and has a nice quiet atmosphere if you want to get away from the tourist prices and business I highly recommend it.

Oh and if they are out of what your looking for, they will run across the street to their apartment and get it for you :smile:

There is "Shroom shops"....this I know.

They have fridges with all kinds of shrooms depending what effects your after. I talked to the guy, he said they are still trying to ban them. So now shops make it a little bit harder (Locks on things, sometimes their behind counters)

Couldn't think of anything worse than running around Amsterdam tripping your ass off though, so I just puffed myself silly :vaped:

We had a morning stash, 2 types of stuff to smoke during the day...and the "Goodnight, I'm fucked" stash.

On the last day we still had like 3 grams, so we gave it to some guys just arriving on train. "Good morning...Want some weed?"

i haven't been there since the last weekend shrooms were legal (nov. 2008) but i hear amsterdam is not really enforcing the shroom ban. you will probably be able to get a discreet package from behind the counter :laugh:

even if not, truffles for some reason are still fully legal. go figure.

money: amsterdam isn't SUUPER cheap, but it's not wallet rape either. fresh shrooms ran me 12-16€ box when i was there. a joint was like 4€ for some average weed. didn't go to a club but cost really depends on what kind of club it is. if you like psytrance, a good check for parties both over- and underground is here: goabase.de. most of the parties listed are in germany but it is also great for the rest of europe, just search under netherlands. i am sure regular clubs post their door cost online.

that's part of the reason i chose berlin, awesome city, lots of music happening, low-ass rent. they have drug laws here but the enforcement is unenthusiastic so yay :smile:

Some of my favorites are: The Noon & Global Chillage (for hash), Bush Doctor, Den Rokerij (I think there's like 2 or 3 of these), Abraxis, The Doors (for herb). Personally, I don't like the BullDog, but a lot of people do. Lots of loud tourists there, mostly from England I think.

What would be some of the things me and my friends should not do in amsterdam?

I found a hostel 20 mins away from the city centre for 25 euro a night, is this expensive?

Is the city safe enough at night for 3 big guys to be walking around?

Anyone have experiences of pulling women who were not prostitutes?(are the women hot?)
