Yeah you should be fine, but it will slow the growth process if its around 60 alot. Otherwise dont worry, and good luck. (if it were me, i'd invest in something to keep it at a higher temp.)

will probably just switch the heater from time to time. The incubator stays warm for awhile without continually running the FTH. Looks like be at 100% colo in a coulple day. Going to wait an extra five after that before dunking and birthing. Should I put the perlite in now to get it going and make sure everythings coolor just wait because it will use up resources and invite contams?

Not a single person has asked what type of spore. The spores could be something that like cold weather, but if they are cubes then you want the temp to be from 72-75 for fruiting and 82-85 for innoculation. Yes if the temp is too low it will just slow the growth. A good way to heat your terrarium would be with a fish tank heater in a jar of H2O and H2O2. it will keep it around 10 degrees above ambient. You can buy one at walmart for $7.

What you are asking is can you do it after you have started the casing? Sure, I don't see why not.

what I'm asking is should I put the perlite in today or wait until the jars are closer to being ready?

If you assume someone is growing something they are not you can screw them up. Do you want to ruin someones crop? I don't. I do it enough to myself. lol

so you are suggesting that from now on whenever anyone asks a cultivation question we should ask "what kind of mushroom?"

sorry, just trying to clarify the fact that it is assumed when one asks questions in this forum that the mushrooms being talked about are p cubensis.

you were quick to point out that we don't know what kind of mushroom is being discussed and therefore we should ask what kind of spore is being used.

i just wanted to know if this is new shroomery policy, if now we need to make sure we're all talking about cubensis in every post.

now, either you believe that we should ask this in every post or your post asking the question was silly. which is it?
