Is it bad to keep spawning a spawn with different substrates?
i spawned a pint jar with organic compost, now its fully colonized and i want to spawn that chunk with a lot of poo....would this somehow effect it?

I'm confused by your question. Are you asking if its Ok to keep spawning different substrates with the same spawn?
And now you want to spawn a batch of poo with the compost spawn?

If thats what your asking, yes its OK to do that, I've done that and had no problems. But I used spawned birdseed to spawn into straw/poo.

From what I've read, it's not a good idea to do this for more than a generation or two, as the mycellium loses vigor after a while, but I might be reading it wrong. Maybe somebody else with more knowledge will help us out on that one.

yea you got it, thats what i was asking. after i spawned a litlle tub, i decided i want to go to bulk substrates, so i want to spawn it again on poo, a lot of poo.

I'm thinking it will work fine, just make sure its colonized all the way, your using a good ratio and your not passing contamination to your new substrate.

its not the different substrate i am worried about as much as have mycelium sitting in the dark for so long.

Mycelium has no problem sitting in the dark. I would think the only main issue with this would be the transfer of not only spawning material to the substrate, but also contaminants.

If there's no contams in the spawn you want to transfer, as long as you work in good clean, sterile environment, I don't see why you would have any problems. I have done this myself quite a few times and haven't had any problems.
