my first time at this. One of my cakes while colonizing got what looked to be fuzzy black growth, about the size of lincolns head on a penny. As the cake matured the growth shrunk a bit and lightened in color. The mycilium almost covered it. I wanted to know, since it never spead, is it safe to eat the mushrooms? This cake, out of 10 others has the most musrooms sprouting fromm it, mabey 20! I couldn't believe it. My other heathy cakes only sproted 2-4 shrooms!. They are still small, but they all look normal?(on the contaminated cake) Does anyone have any sound advice for a rookie? I was gonna pitch it, but I couldn't believe how well this one pinned! The cake did not smell bad at all and is not slimy???????????????
