The Future
    #1064252 - 11/18/02 11:35 PM (14 years, 2 months ago)

What is your prediction of our future?

I presonally think that there are 2 possable futures for humanity. One is that we will all kill each other and the world with war. The second is that we will be able to retain peace and eventually have far greater technology and medacine, longer lives and we can live our lives exploring our minds and our universe.

Just rough predictions, nothing too speciffic.

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

I'm for the most part optimistic... but I think we're gonna kill each other by blowing up the world. Whoever doesn't die during the nuclear war, probably will during the nuclear winter to follow. Bleak.

If we don't cleanse ourselves, then Nature will... that's what I think.

Until then, I'm just going to try and go with the flow. I have faith that I'll be where I'm supposed to be when I'm supposed to be there.

I will be fighting wars and shit. Id love to see what new weapons there will be, lol. I will be a commando  L33T soldier

I think of "us" as Earth itself.... hell even if mankind somehow wipes itself out completely, I have faith that planet Earth will eventually create another incredible lifeform that will prevail in areas where mankind had failed.

This is what happens anyway..... the dinosaurs couldn't defend against SOMETHING and got completely wiped out. Only well after they were gone could Man arise and take things from there. There's a whole new process here on Earth just waiting with its probabilities crossed for us to get out of the way.

-=- Matt/Strumpling -=-
its up to us to keep that from happening for as long as possible.
Go Mankind!
Go EARTH!

Wiped out doesn't necessarily mean extinct. Just because there aren't any T-Rex's running around NYC doesn't mean they don't still exhist in some reptilian form or another.

Yes it does. There are no living T-Rexes on earth anymore. None. Find me one and I'll admit I was wrong.

Just like is happening to us, either something evolved FROM them and surpassed their "efficiency" so they died off, or something stupid happened and destroyed all of them. Either way, nature took care of things perfectly, and will continue to do so.

My prediction?

Sometime in the next 10 years Earth will make its final transition to 4th density shortly before or after a large group of asteroids hits the planet. Because of this, longterm predictions for humanity are kind of pointless. I have no idea what 4th density life will be like for those who make it, and I have no idea what it will be like for those who will be repeating 3rd grade  on another planet. However, I would assume that shortly after the transition, life will be very peaceful on Earth due to the lack of negatively oriented entities. So I'd imagine technology and civilization will advance faster then we could possibly imagine, especially due to the eventual ability to materialize objects simply by thinking of them being there.

That's what I think.

I was using T-Rex as a specific example, and yeah I agree with you... But how do we know that dinosaurs didn't have a consciously intelligent species of reptile, sort of like humans are a consciously intelligent species of primates? For all we know they were aware of an ice age coming and decided to live underneath the surface of the Earth, or maybe on another planet.
