i just finished it today. i read the majority of it in the past three hours or so. i thought it was great, but the ending was sad.

any one else read it and what did you think?

I wish I was little bit taller,
I wish I was a baller,
I wish I had a girl who looked good
I would call her
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat
and a six four Impala - Skeelo

too bad it is not presented as fiction...

I think that book is overrated.I still don't understand why it's still in print and selling copies after all these years. Like someone else said,it's not presented as fiction. Alice blames all her problems on drugs and her participation in a newly emerging counter culture,it sounds like a piece of Dare propaganda.Overall, a fairly boring and unimaginative book.

People think that if you just say the word "hallucinations" it explains everything you want it to explain and eventually whatever it is you can't explain will just go away. It's just a word,it doesn't explain anything...

I found that book to be quite a bit too anti-drug.... much of it was somewhat entertaining though.

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

I read that book a couple years ago. It was a good book, but it still seemed like bullshit propaganda nonetheless.
