My theory, oysters, they look a lot like oysters. Here are some pictures of other oysters and that is where I base my opinion on.
It looks similar to the growth, just not as crazy which could have been brought on by the conditions at hand.
Picture 3 looks a lot like a picture of pink oysters I saw once (except these are white)
Are you sure the strains didn't get messed up, I read a couple instances on the forums of that happening. The person expected a cube strain and got oysters.
I am probably wrong since more experienced people have chimed in already unsure, but It looks a lot like oysters to me...
edit: maybe they got crazy due to conditions fit for cubes, but not for edibles as they usually require more attention.
I've grown oysters that have done that because I didn't know any better and took it out of the bag giving it too much FAE over the entire block that was what I was told. So these stained blue grimsage? They have gills wow wouldn't that be cool if they did cross with something in the soil!

You should invest on a PC. It is such a useful tool for this hobbie... FYI never PC or microwave your casing material. Pasteurize. Check these.

The picture quality is very poor but it looks more like grey bruising to me.
The species isn't active, it is very common and its not a cross or hybrid of any kind.

OK he had mentioned it was blue so it was wishful thinking on my part. Thanks for taking a look bro.
