Wrong, mist and then fan. Misting first is the key to a good grow. The mist falls and then you fan, the fanning helps evaperate the water and raises the RH and the drying triggers pinning. GL, CH

the happy medium may be to fan - mist - fan evap is super key

Never heard that before...

well i dug up where i read this and im not sure if hyphae is correct or not but he said this:
Quote:
hyphae said: If it's too wet you can fan to increase evaporation or you can sprinkle some dry verm across the surface this will suck it up immediately. I'd like to point out something about fanning then misting. This is considered fine tuning nothing more and if you feel uncomfortable about it for some reason do it however you like but here it is. Fanning before misting disturbs and removes co2 from the surface so the surface can welcome fresh o2 rich moisture. Misting first traps that co2 into the surface and is then absorbed by the water leaving the surface with a higher amount of co2. For those who like to analyze and fine tune you'll want to fan then mist for you others carry on! LOL

so after reading both of the explanations i agree w/ tektonic who said the key may be to fan, mist, then fan again.

Well, it has been a week since I inoced my jars. I have five that I am positive have myc in them already. One of them has substantial growth. The other five I can't really tell if anything is going on quite yet.
Am I running a little behind schedule? The first one started about 4 days after being inoced.
Do I need to just be patient?

Well, it has been 10 days since I knocked the jars up. Only 1 jar has all four injection sites germinate. This jar is doing very well.
Is it common to only have 1-3 of the 4 injection site germinate? Does it take much longer to colonize if this occurs?

multi spore is like that, sometimes spores take a bit longer to germinate than others, some don't germinate at all if you want fast uniform growth, your gonna want to clone or isolate some time any type of lc speeds thing along a bit too

Oh ok. I am learning the most important thing of all... patience...
Should I make some LC? Could I inject the jars with LC even after spore germination? I would like to get these things going...

No. Patience.
