Soda-lime glass ok for master slants?

I notice that RR seems to use Pyrex screwtop tubes for his master slants, but when looking around in my area all I could find are screwtop tubes made of soda-lime glass. Reading on wikipedia it seems that soda-lime may not be as tolerant of extreme heat.
My question is, has anyone here successfully used soda-lime glass based tubes, or do they shatter when trying to sterilize them in the pressure cooker?
Also, please don't suggest ordering pyrex tubes online, i'd rather not have that go through international shipping and arouse suspicion from customs, haha.

They'll be fine in a PC.
Edit- they may not be as durable for long-term repeated use. But fine for home mycology.

That's great. For now, long-term repeated use isn't a major concern, I just want something which will work. Also, they don't seem that expensive, so replacing them shouldn't be a problem.

uh sorry guys, but one more question, this is my choice of sizes, which would be the most suitable
13mm X 100mm 7ml 15mm X 100mm 10ml 15mm X 150mm 15ml 16mm X 125mm 15ml 16mm X 150mm 20ml 18mm X 150mm 25ml 18mm X 180mm 30ml 20mm X 150mm 33ml 20mm X 180mm 40ml 26mm X 150mm 55ml 26mm X 200mm 75ml 30mm X 200mm 100ml
I think i've read that something too big would dry out too fast. But also I guess it would have to be something that would be able to fit a popsicle stick into? Which would be the most suitable?

25 mm = one inch. So 18x180 seems plausible.
Are you getting screwtops? Or what?

I just happen to be here right now.
With screwtops- what about a Tyvek filter? Drill a hole in the center of the lid, put tyvek inside. Then you have GE for colonization, and you can just seal it with a piece of scotch tape for refrigerating. So there's no drying out, and you can get the big ones.

Tyvek is really hard to find around here. I was gonna do what it said in RR's video, and unscrew one turn, and wrap with around the lid with parafilm.
I read that RR uses 25mm X 125mm, and he states they stay good for at least two years, but since that size isn't available to me, you'd say 18x180 would be my best option?

Well, 26x150 is closer to RR's size. I think you could accomplish your goal- storing master cultures- with any of the bigger ones. Two years seems likely if you do it like that with the parafilm. There won't be much difference in the drying rate, really. Not much at all.

Ok cool thanks. Maybe i'll try out a couple different sizes since they don't seem to pricey anyways.
You've been helpful as usual.

Some envelopes at post office are tyvek but I don't encourage their use because I hear it's illegal to use that gov't property for something besides mail.
And where are you getting your tubes because I'm trying to settle with making agar in 1/2 pints, but can't get start
