You could use that in place of a martha closet and follow the martha tek. You would have to cover the bottom but that is no big deal.

Could I use a tray with some soaked perlite instead of a humidifier?
Are you saying I should install fans into the FC?
What would I need timers for? Lights?
Thanks

Well, I guess with enough perlite you wouldn't need extra humidity. But you still need FAE, so you'd have to fan and mist by hand. Really there's hundreds of options, it depends a lot on your style and what you have available. You could build something elaborate, or something very simple. And you can modify it later, it's not like you are locked into one design. If the perlite doesn't work out, you can add a humidifier another day.
