How long does wet perlite go into FC before birthing?
    #10627647 - 07/05/09 11:37 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

I saw in RR's video that he said that the way that perlite works is that in a "few weeks" it begins to build up the humnidity.

Is the FC supposed to be loaded with the wet perlite weeks before the cakers are ready for birth? if the perlite was put in on the same day that the cakes are birthed would the humidity not go high enough quick enough?

noob question i know im sorry.

I set up my whole grow op the same day as I spawned them  It's not ideal but it's possible.. If you have the time clean the area, I'm assuming it's a closet from your other post, and sterilize anything that you will be using by wiping it with 70% isopropyl alcohol and spraying some disinfectant into the air. The humidity will sustain itself in the mid to high 90's as long as you re-hydrate it by spraying water on it every so often. IME I have to re-hydrate every other day with a mildly damp spraying session.

:alert:Everything I post is completely fictitious, and for your amusement only. All the pictures I post are either photoshopped or ripped from the internet. Whenever i trade for spores it is for examining the spores under microscopes to see their characteristics. There is no reason why I would ever want to nor will I grow mushrooms containing psilocybin while in the USA.:alert:

It dosent take weeks for humidity to build up. You can use your FC right away
