Question about a dried out myc
    #10619315 - 07/04/09 06:17 AM (15 years, 6 months ago)

Is it possible for the mycelium to recover from a lack of water if i add some with a syringe?

I mean adding some water through the holes that i made into my brf jars.
The myc seem dry and it isnt growing anymore.

Or should i throw em into the bin?

Are we talking about a cake, or a cased bulk substrate here?

I have a cased bulk substrate (actually two of them)that has dried out after about 30-40% colonization, and it hasn't done anything for approximately 3 weeks now. I have pretty much completely given up all hope on those 2, but I am still FAE-ing and misting everyday just in case -- because I witnessed a friend last year go 2 months without anything happening and then all of a sudden pins starting popping up.

Somehow I doubt I'll get that lucky, though.
