brf cake idea
    #10618975 - 07/04/09 02:36 AM (15 years, 6 months ago)

so i ran out of spores .I have 10 cakes and 2 empty jars i was gonna take 1 jar place in bag and make 2 more cakes and add them to a bag once that was colonized. using a tin plate I was gonna place a layer of verm on top, and place it in a PMP .I wasn't gonna use a casing because i hear there for humidity/moister, and since the PMP should do both of those .I was wondering if this would work/recommended?

Make sure the bag has some kind of filter for FAE.

I took one cake that was 60% coloniZed, added it to a gallon freezer bag with 5 or 6 jars of substrate.  I popped 8 pin holes at the top of the bag.  when it was 30% i mixed the bag together and now it's reaching 100%.  it is really compact so the inside will take forever to colonize tho.

and you have to be very sterile.
