Cobweb.. see the nice fuzzy white mycelium surrounded by the gray frizz? Plenty of FAE helps keep cobweb mold down.. Better get to planning your next grow...

I really cannot make a call on that. One thing for sure, if it grows much faster than the whiter, denser myc, it is cob web. You should know by morning.
If it is cob web, you can douse it with some h202 and maybe get rid of it. Or maybe not(lots of fae will never hurt you).
I always just toss contamination on site, but that is just me. I have learned when dealing with contams, it is much easier(or more rewarding if you prefer) to just replace the substrate than to try to save it. I will give an unfruited substrate one heavy dose of h202 for cobweb or trich, if it does not come back full steam and in a hurry, I roll with the dumpster tek.

First signs of groth can sometimes look suspicious. I've had jars that looked grey and spread really thin for the first week which ten thickened out. It seriously looked ike cobweb for a week then rhyzos showd and the grey thicken to a nice white.
I've noticed aslo tha drier pf mixes tend to do that spread out thin and see through then thicken upp. Giving the appearance of grey mycelum. Cobweb is rare in jatrs.

True single strands can appear grey.

But common in casing layers such as above. I do wish you the best outcome I'm just giving my observations from my experience shroomizzle. GL

i didnt realise it was a casing layer. Keep an eye on it as others say cobweb will grow incredibly fast and get that hairy appearance and be greyish.
3% h202 sprayed on the effected area should kill it, it will fizzle and melt away.
i thought it was a jar so i wasnt sure as this photo was 1 of my hawian jars and shows really suspicious growth

That jar is now fruiting fine.
