Thats the link to the accidental. I can find more if need be.

I still thin k it can be done, ut also acknowledge you definitely know more. I guess I'll just need to keep experimenting and post my results.

On a different note, your pinning strategy is duing wonders for my PR tubs, thank for the awesome strategy!

Your welcome! The link is in valid double check it please. Also has this accident been proven without a doubt, what evidence?

I see your point. Though not completely proven, It is very likely. If it isn't certain then I will be experimenting and try to prove or disprove it. That's why I love this hobby. Once you get the basics down you can find out things on your own.

Here are some links, first is the corrected previous url.

This is a good discussion, the Op was off better info gets chimed in.

Discussion on mating

This one has great info by workman and RR.

Another good discussion

There was another grow I saw where the guy accidentally crossed Cambo's and I think PESA, but I can't find it.

It is possible to cross two cubies. It just takes alot of meticulous work. It has been done and can be done. That is all I need in order to start experimenting for myself. That's just my nature, I like to experiment and test the rules. I am taking a long shot, but if it works who knows what lovely things may come. I'll keep working on it, and will post my results no matter which outcome falls into being.

I familiar with the procedure it is laborious singling out spores and hoping for a mate but like I said it is rare good luck with your efforts! It then needs to be verified legitimately so ones efforts can truly be rewarded. You know it wouldn't be so rare if there were more people like you will to invest the time.

What is the trick to getting PF cakes to turn out like this?  With such good yields for a cake?

That looks really good while some people's cakes will have only 2-3 mushrooms period.

Is there things you can do to maximize yields?  I already know about dunking and rolling and giving them lots and lots of FAE.  What else can you do?

Thanks man. I wanna do this and try to find some form of ingenuity that will allow more people to successfully do it. Im hoping I can but either way i'll enjy the process. If have any luck, I'll be sure to send you a print. My current attempt is cambo and Mdk. So far its looking good, but way too soon to be sure. Thanks hyphae!

Pay attention to fruiting conditions.

Shotgun fruiting chamber
Good FAE
Misting
Bright light in the daylight range

Ive been having nice success by fanning more than i am misting, and ive seen a few others doo the same thing and get good results. Im also using natural lighting and giving direct sunlight for a few minutes when i can each day.

Back to crossing strains. So far we have always been led to believe that it does work. Im sure RR has stated this on many occasions that its not much different to inoculating form 1 strain.

Just the other day someone posted pictures of trays fruitin like a forest that were made up from spawn mixed together of different strains.

Ive also got a jar that had 2 srains inoculated, 2 holes 1 strain 2 holes the other, when they met up they had joined nd are noe fruiting.

But i cant argue with petri work  could give you a better idea.

Im sure i remember vaguely RR saying that strains have a 1 in 4 chance of joining.

Thanks man, I have done my reading before taking on this challenge. Im not going to innoc two strains into a sub to try to get them to cross. That is too variable. I am trying a few other methods. Be sure to read the results when I post them.

Sorry to steal your thread OP.
