I've got some DME I want to make some LC's with. I know this answer is somewhere on the forum but I haven't been able to locate it so...
Am I supposed to dissolve the DME in the water prior to pressure cooking?
I think I've also seen people steep the DME in boiling water in a coffee filter. I just want to know the best method for using light DME. So I have a nice visible LC.
I know I want 1gram per 100ml of water. I just don't know the best method for preparing it prior to sterilization.

Ok I did a test run just using the DME as I would coffee grounds in my coffee machine.
It looks as though it dissolved all the DME into the water as there was nothing left in the filter.
Here are a couple pics of the test jar. Does it look as one would expect it to?

Of course this hasn't settled yet, it just got done "brewing" so I'm guessing the sediment will eventually settle to the bottom? I'm very inexperienced with LC. Although I couple Karo LC's that worked out so-so.
