Tropic Aire Humidifier How To?

Hey, I bought a Tropic Aire humidifier and I must be doing something wrong. Here is how mine is set up, I have a tube leading from the air pump to the one side of the top of the humidifier. Then from the bottom of the lid to the inside of the water I have a tube with the air diffuser attached bubbling away. Then on the other side I have a tube from the top of the lid leading into my terrarium but it's not upping the humidity at all and I don't see any droplets of water in the hose. What am I doing wrong? I lost the instruction book, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

It is doing its thing if it is running. I kept mine on 24/7, but also had perlite in the terrarium as well.

How long has it been running? What kind of pump are you using? Your setup sounds good to me, but by itself the TA will not give you the desired humidity levels. Use it with perlite, and make sure you have got a strong pump.

That's not nice. 16 minutes had passed.
Just buy some perlite. It's a lot cheaper, you don't pay for energy and it's probably more effective.

That's my air pump, it's been running for 3 days and i'm getting a max of 51% humidity. I'm just better off getting some perlite? Thanks alot for your help everyone, and i'm sorry about not getting back immediately i'm about to fly out and had to pack a few things.

Yes, you'll probably be better off with perlite. If your hygrometer is digital do as Roger says. Calibrate it. Next time you back out from your driveway, just put it behind a wheel, it will be properly calibrated. TC
