Hello again fellow growers and mycologist alike I have a very confusing question regarding the colonization period of my BRF Jars.
Well so far I have 12 1/2 pint jars going that have been successfully inoc. and are about 40-50% colonization at almost 2 weeks old. For the last week I have left the jars exsposed to night daylight within my room because I have read several times that it doesnt matter if there is indirect light or not when they are inoculating. To be honest, they were colonizing very quickly when i didnt have them in complete darkness.
So the last two nights i left them in darkness because I wasnt home and really there has been very little if any new mycellium growth. Sooo I am really not sure as to what to do....should I leave them in the natural light within my room or store them in a all dark spot. I might add that there is no contam and temp is in the sweet spot so I have ruled that out...I know its a question of darkness or lightness...........SOooooo if anyone could give me some scientific or an expierenced opinion that would be great and what I am looking for. (P.S)--all jars are B+ cubes.
Once again thanks for the help once again......and till next time ....shrooms away.

I'm a bit curious about 'night daylight'.
Normal ambient light is fine during colonization. The old advice to colonize in darkness was incorrect and has been debunked. RR

As long as the temp. ranges are adequate, it doesn't really matter where you put them. I'd prefer a clean place than a dirty one though!
