Freshly inoculated h-poo left in sun!! am I ok?
    #10607007 - 07/01/09 11:35 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

Ok hears the deal.  4 Small containers (9x12x60) each with 2 1/2- 3inches of h-poo/verm substrate were inoculated with a quart of WBS @ 9am in the morning @75 deg outside. i went to cover the containers with foil and guess what... i didn't have any, co i temporally covered them with wax paper till i got a chance to run to the store.
I didn't get to the store till 1pm and had forgot that i left them on the dark green pick nick table in my back yard directly in the sun.  By the time i got to them it was 2pm and about 93 deg out.  The containers are made of aluminum and were hot to even touch and move def well over 100 deg. Its been about a week and usually by now they are at last 80% colonized but they dint look to be colonizing at all...

Are they dead?
If they are can i just add more WBS and reinoculate?
Any help would be appreciated.

They are probably dead :bye:

Ive had this happen to jars and I reinnoculated them and they worked fine, so you could always try it.

no offense, but were you really high, or did the annoyance of no Al make you frizzled and leave the pans to bake? :bigblunt:
