Filter patch material ?
    #10603113 - 07/01/09 11:51 AM (15 years, 6 months ago)

Hi,
I was looking for tyvek in my city, but failed to find it. I found material exactly(look pics) as filter patch in spawn bags. I've bought some of it for probe.

So my question:
Can this material be used as tyvek for jars ?

Spawn bag with filter patch

Material I bought

Looks like it might work- if it can be pressure cooked. Try a few jars and let us know.

Don't know the answer to your question. But wanted to let you know that HomeDepot, Lowe's, and Graingers carry Tyvek Suits. I just did 21 jars (using 2 layers of Tyvek per jar) and only used the sleeves of the suit.
