Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

Yea thats normal for pr. Its the highly ryzmorphic(sp?) mycelium that looks like strands. I think if you add a marble to the jar it helps break up the mycelium "balls" But do so before you innoculate

going to put some chipped up ceramic stones in there next time or chipped up glass to breakup strands before pcing. hopefully the strainds will fit in an 18 ga needle and not clog.

Try adding a 1/4 teaspoon of nutritional yeast. It will make that mycelium grow like crazy. It will make the Karo tek turn a bit caramel colour but don't worry abou that it is normal. What you will notice is that the mycelium will start to grow a lot faster and in large clumps. And yes put that marble or some broken glass in there to stir up.

Could I use just regular yeast used in coocking? If so can it still be sterelized?
