stalled myco bag

i had 5 myco bags from tms i inoculated all 5 with2 cc's of b+ 2 of the bags got bacteria in them kinda like a rotten apple smell the other 2 of them i broke up about 50 percent colonized and they are fine and the last one i broke up about 4 days ago has stalled or something what could have happened to it i see a little but not much myc

How many lb,s were the bags? If one pound then I would use more like 5cc's

the bags with a little growth in them may recover, but dont hold your breath. set them aside and forget about them for now. if they do recover it might take a while.

just my 2 cents.

my bags are about 4 and a half pounds, and i use 60cc of LC. two weeks later i have a solid brick of 100% colonized myc. the faster it colonizes the less chance of contam takeover.

It very well could be contaminated. This is how we double check spawn before g2g's. If they recover fine they are fine if they don't recover they are contaminated. Generally speaking. :wink:
