required reading for buddists?
    #1059895 - 11/17/02 12:39 PM (14 years, 22 days ago)

What book would be good to read?

I want one that has all the major teachings/points or whatever.

Awakening the Budda Within by Lama Surya Das is an exelant book on the concepts and practice of buddism lots of instruction in how to implement these into your life. and it is also written for the western world to understand.
BE Here Now by Ram Dass a mix of buddism and hinduism ,a must read for anyone wanting to make the transition from psychedelics to yoga and meditation. my favorite of all time. part of its written in a way to be read while high . amazeing book

Way of Zen by Alan Watts is a good one. this incorporates the history of buddhism with the creation of zen, and its practices.

I recomend this one-

--------------------
What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?
