    #10597807 - 06/30/09 01:20 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

This jar is one of my Treasure coast P.corn jars inoc'd june 9th. Im wondering if the redish/purple discoloring of the corn is normal, as it is in both my TC. I also have P. Ricans that where inoc'd the same day, but dont have the same discoloring. Thanks Guys/gals

Looks pretty normal in that pic. Give it a week, see what happens.

"Let them be" would be my other insight.

Popcorn is tricky sometimes, and jars that have been shaken too much don't always recover. It might be time to consider another batch of jars. Try rye or wbs, see if they work better for you.

I agree with Doc_T, looks normal. Stop shaking it. You should shake only twice. Once when it comes out of the PC, and again, (once) when you are about 40-50% colonized. PATIENCE.
