ok....so i knocked up six half pint jars on last thursday with B+.....4 of the jars started growing myc. last night....the other two do not show any signs of growth yet....i 'am pleasantly suprised tho that the 4 jars are actually starting after four days considering the long incubation time with B+....i 'm using an incubator and keeping the temp around 80F which i lowered a minute ago cause it was up aroun 82-03 F....no signs of contams (knock on wood)...i also am incubating a liquid culture of B+ using the plastic container with plastic wrap with karo in the microwave tek....i had a little spore solution left so i figured i would try it out.....anyways my question is....is there anything i can do to speed up the growth in the two stalled jars? or should i just hold off and wait to see what happens? any other helpful input is much appreciated too....thanks fellow shroomheads

You can't really do anything about those jars, just hope that the spores will germinate and mycelium will spread. People will tell you not to incubate the jars, keep 'em at room temps.

you cant do anything but wait. i dont wait any longer than a week to see growth. if i dont see growth i toss the sub and start over. i find it is quicker this way because even if the jar was to begin colonizing after one week it tends to be a slow colonizer anyway so i say fuck it.

I would start all over.
That's what I'm doing anyways. I inoculated 4 jars of corn last week. (I know I'm stubborn Prismism and you were right, awful performance) They are taking way too long so I just bought some WBS, I'm going to PC the jars of corn before I toss the corn away. I prefer to play safe always. (Something doesn't seem right to me...)
