terrarium q's

Okay so I'll be building my first terrarium soon and think I'll be going with the shotgun design to house 12 BRF cakes (6 tasmanian,6 creepers). I was wondering how much maintenance, that is fanning/misting I should do per day using this design because I know it is designed for optimal air flow. How should the air flow and exchange be addressed if I keep it in a 3x7x8 closet?

Shotgun, good choice.
Closet, not ideal. You'll have to see what works for you. Start out with 4-6 times per day. May need more, or less.

this is tonos just on a different comp.  When you say start out 4-6 times a day you mean fanning and misting? or just fanning or misting. I'm lining the bottom 3" with perlite and should i have a mini fan positioned a few feet away towards the box for good circulation of disinfected air(oust sprayed twice a day)

Mist and then fan vigorously for 20 seconds. The fan might be usefull if it doesn't lower the humidity of the FC. You don't need to "desinfect" the air. A colonized substrate is very resistent to contams.

Okay, thanks. Another question... I know it is recommended to use a see through box and top, but in my case I don't want snooping guests stumbling upon a shroom paradise. Could I use a non-see through terrarium box with a see through box and just place my timed light above it? I mean the shrooms grow towards the light, so a light from above rules out needing to use a see through box.. right?

If it's not see through how do the shrooms see the light?...

Edit: With a see through top? You'll be fine!
