I believe that- but I never seem to find any. Maybe it's a regional thing, and that's why? I've looked for 40 pound bags, and I've looked for the smaller bags like lime comes in. Can't find gypsum. I know I can smash up drywall, but I keep hoping to find the real thing. Anyone have a brand name or store chain that's certain to be available? I haven't even found it at the local place that has verm and perlite (haven't asked yet, just looked.)

The nearest town to me(70 miles away) only has a population of 600, and gypsum is available at the hardware store, the nursery, and the feed store. If you're in a larger town or city, I can't imaging having to drive more than a mile or two to find it. Just don't go to silly-assed places like walmart, lowes or home depot. RR

Yeah, I don't. Lowes used to have verm, but not any more. Ace gets a lot of my hardware business, I'll check them again. And the local place too, of course.

I get garden gypsum at Lowes. 40 lbs for 8-9 bucks. They have verm there but it is too fine in my opinion. I get verm from Ace Hardware.

You ever seen that movie Constantine. Well they pass into hell several times. In hell there are melting human bodies, in your tub are melting mushroom bodies. Your tub had passed into mushroom hell.

My Lowes didn't have it- they have verm again though.
But I found gypsum at the local pop-and-pop garden place. 5lbs for $5, I didn't want to get the big bag in case it was wrong- all they had was 'pelletized'. But that will work for me, says the Search Engine. So yay!
