Now that it's been out long enough to be absorbed, what do you guys think? I can't believe it's so good. It keeps on geting better and better and better, like all great music. Got to 52 in the Billboard charts too, which is very impressive for that sort of music.
And they're actually coming to Scotland AGAIN within 4 months of their previous visit!

it is amazing. the whole thing is great to play in the background, it soothes me in the car driving around with the terrible traffic in this town, it is simply awesome to have sex to, it's great to listen to fucked up, or great to listen to in a reflective, meditative mood. i just wish they were coming to AZ...

It's great..I suppose I like it better than the last album..It's sort of darker, and there's more emotion. Where are they playing this time?

It is actually a lot different, but the differences are just very subtle. Kind of hard to say, but although the "soundworld" is similar, the actual music has changed a lot.
They're playing Glasgow Barrowlands on Tuesday 11th February. ?13.50 from ticket web. Barrowlands is probably my favourite venue, not to mention the fact that it cuts out the train journey to Edinburgh Hope its as good as the last one.

Thanks mr kite. Did you notice that the last gig's audience was comprised of pretentious 20 something style wankers? Still, that's Edinburgh for you. The barrowlands should draw a different crowd, hopefully.

Saw them two weekends ago and bought the new CD immediately afterward. The show was so incredible, the CD only slightly less so. I've never seen a crowd so intently contemplative before, most were just closing their eyes and swaying. I love the flow of the CD, how it starts out all mellow and gradually builds and swells towad the end. What a journey.

lol yes some of the audience were a bit poncy, but at least they were quiet. And on the upside there was a fair bit of smoking going on down the front where I was. But on the downside I was farted on for a good ten seconds by the bird in front of me. And as you say some of the arty-farty Edinburgh-studenty twats were unbearable. Quite liked the hall though.
I've seen a few really good concerts at the Barrowlands (especially the Mogwai ones). You from Glasgow too?

I doubt it. There's no acid anywhere ever. I may try to shroom at the next gig though. That would be amazing.

Yo. I'm from a town called Carluke, which is about half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh. I go to college in Glasgow.
If I go to this gig I will definately be shrooming. It'll be great.
