i dont have to and will not tolerate irrationalism.  religious beliefs are responsible for millions upon millions of deaths and the toll is still climbing as we have this  inane discussion.  IMO not enough people criticize religion.  for some reason everyone hides and is afraid to cross the PC line.  FUCK THAT.  People are dying in africa because catholic missionaries are teaching that condom use is a sin. AIDS.  Religious wars are being fought right fucking now!  AND FOR WHAT?  differences in irrational fucking beliefs.

I criticize religion all the time, but I do so carefully as to maybe actually make a difference. But then of course, with the militant and/or seemingly brianwashed religious, there is no chance at getting anything through.

You can tell them you dont think god wants their negativity or something along those lines, and they will say "Why are you being so discriminatory? Huh? Double standard! Double Standard!", and you damn near just want to punch them in the face for polluting the air that you care about.

And that is what I dislike very much about you Geometry, you use the same kind of senseless semantics, which hold no real value underneath their face value, and is really just plain aggravating.

"God" is the reason to do some things that just don't have a reason. it is why I play music. It is the will to life.

I believe that the closer you get to "god" that the less you believe in, and the more you simply "be." There is no question and yet there is neverending question.

Your will to live is strengthened, and that eventually, the more you merge into "one", or "god", or "life" or "reality" or "truth" becomes inverted into the will to let life live, which is why you get pissed off about people like religious nuts who destroy it because they have been disconnected from "one" or "god" or life" or "reality" or "truth" by their religion.

 Aww, and I thought you said you didn't care about the big picture. Maybe you do have a heart.
But I still think the only reason you made this thread was to flex your sith trolling powers. God is why I strive to be less aggravating.

rationalism is important to me because i dislike the effects irrational thinking has on my life personally.  its a matter of self interest.

for example drug laws.  i cant go and enjoy a joint at the bar because of irrational beliefs about drugs that have led to laws.

this is just one drop in the bucket.  it would be my guess that irrational thinking will probably be the undoing of mankind.

I could say the opposite. I could say I can't go to a bar and enjoy a joint because "god", or life, is a war of sorts, weed is like my ally and there are forces that want to keep this away from me.

I could say that it is because of rational people, people who know nothing but reason, that they will be the undoing of mankind. Reason is what you have been conditioned into by those who are destroying imagination, whether they realize it or not.

Did you reason this all on your own, or did it just kinda pop into your imagination? :strokebeard:

I didn't ask you if there was a reason behind what you said, I asked you if you reasoned it, or if it sorta popped into your head out of nowhere.

no, that was just an example of  the sort of behavior one would
expect from atheists with their demands of proof of god
